23 May Turquoise Shadow in Essence
Our Amazing Turquoise Shadow is Featured in Essence
Essence, a leading national women’s magazine, has included an inspiring three-page story on British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae in its upcoming issue. Rae came on the scene in 2006 introducing the carefree and warm ballad “Put Your Records On.” Now returning to the spotlight after a five-year hiatus, Rae shares her journey, from enduring the tragic death of her first husband, to finding solace in herself and her music, and finding new love with her longtime friend. In this feature, Rae describes her refreshing new outlook on life and channels her inner confidence through her bold beauty looks.
Frank Guyton, one of Manhattan’s most sought-after makeup artists, was on duty for the Essence shoot. Guyton’s high-profile portfolio encompasses top media, fashion houses and celebrities, spanning from The Oprah Winfrey Show and Harper’s Bazaar to Balmain.
For the story, Guyton combined our highly blendable sparkling turquoise shadow with complimentary shades from Nars, and employed a smudging technique for an ombre effect. Rae resembled a true siren with her irresistible topaz gaze. Her cool look was complimented by aqua-toned Dior nail lacquer.
